Collins Epic Wargames Preorder Policy
Why Preorder with Collins Epic Wargames?
Preorders function to send games to production and lessen the financial risk to us. They let us know what games you want and how many we should produce in an initial run. They also save you money since we deeply discount our preorder sales! Once the required number of preorders are reached, we charge the credit cards of all preorder customers for that game and we say “Go” for production. Preordering supports us and what we do. How big is the discount?
Preorder prices reflect a 20% or 30% discount off Retail!
If I place a preorder, when will my card be charged?
Your credit card is held under secure encryption until we reach the number of preorders we need to send a game to production. This is typically at least 500 preorders. Your card is only charged (at the preorder price) when the initial production run is complete and we are ready to ship the preordered game to you!
[Updated 2-1-10] Can I use PayPal to preorder?
We prefer that you NOT use PayPal for preorder transactions through our store due to the way PayPal “instantly transfers” money into our account. We would rather not have your money for the game until it is time to ship it to you. Please use Visa, MasterCard, or Discover to preorder through our web store. OR, contact us directly if you’d like to place a preorder and use PayPal to pay. We’ll send you an invoice as confirmation, then once we go to production, we’ll request payment by PayPal, which will pay off the invoice.
Can I check the status of a game I’ve preordered?
Absolutely. E-mail us anytime to check on the status of a preorder and check this page often as we will periodically update the site as we receive more preorders.
How do you handle shipping?
We estimate shipping based on an estimated game weight and the shipping method you select in our webstore. If actual shipping is more or less, we will let you know before charging your card.
Can I preorder through my local game store (FLGS)?
Absolutely! We encourage this and they can place their order through our distributor. We however cannot sign/number games if they are ordered through a FLGS due to methods of distribution.
How can I help encourage others to preorder?
Show that you support our preorder program by linking to this page from your blog or website! Feel free to download and display the “Supporter” graphic above on your site to let others know about our upcoming games! And of course, word of mouth goes a long way. Tell others about us- either online, at shows, or at your local gaming club.
