General Comments

“I have barely touched on the possibilities of this game. I foresee great possibilities for this system and am looking forward to further expansions... This is a different type of game and game system is very intriguing and engaging. I think it will gather a nice dedicated following of those who are interested in the Italian Campaign. I can see customers adding scenarios to this gaming system, expanding and extending its vision and capabilities. Frontline General – The Italian Campaign is a unique game system that will provide gamers with hours/weeks/months of “Happy Gaming”! - Richard Mataka
”Received my game today. I must say, AMAZING! The quality is unbelievable. The amount of stuff in the box is unbelievable.  My lack of additional adjectives is unbelievable.  But truly top notch production. Having given the rules a quick read through, the rules look detailed, but not overwhelming.  I for one look forward to playing out the tactical battles with miniatures.” - Todd Mewborn
”My copy of the game arrived today!  I had a quick look through the box... VERY high production value!  Very impressive!” - Vance Strickland
”As an old wargamer (53 years old) who has a vast collection of wargames, you bring a fresh wind in our hobby. Also as a Canadian (French from Quebec) who follows everything on wargames,  your hybrid concept which integrates the operational and tactical dimensions of warfare merit the attention of our community.”  -Pierre Ruel
“Just picking up the box was really exciting since it’s quite heavy. And then opening it... You really packed it full all the way! My compliments, gamers really like to buy games in filled boxes.” - Rene Raap
“...Picking up Frontline General I found a heavy box.  The components are loaded.  It comes with maps, and 495 cards.  The game has enough moving parts that multiple gamers can take on different roles on the same side. The game encompasses combat, supply, non-routine orders (like conditional surrender or withdrawals).  The units in the game gain experience as they fight.  It’s possible for a pilot to be shot down, survive, and get back to friendly lines where he gains experience and can fly again.  Conversely a gun crew on an artillery piece may be attacked, driven off, and the gun captured and used against the opponent.  Players who capture ports will decrease the cost of supply to some of their troops.  Frontline General is an interesting game. I really like how it offers the option to either resolve a battle traditionally as a boardgame or take the battle to a minis game if desired.” -Jim Zabek, Editor of Wargamer.com
“I’ve been waiting on this for a long time!” -Johnny D in response to the release announcement on BGG
“I’ve just finished reading the April newsletter.  It’s really nice. Really good explaining of painting, techniques and materials used. It’s easily accessible for people who are new to painting miniatures and there’s enough to learn for those who have been around.. Nice work, as usual!” -Rene Raap
“Excellent newsletter [December 2006]. I thought the example dogfight was very realistic, and was easy to follow. ” -Phillip M.
“I was just perusing the Internet when I came across the Frontline General web site. I have been playing tabletop and PC war games for over 25 years and became intrigued with what you are attempting to accomplish.  The combination of variable scale interactive management within a war game takes the genre to the "next level".  I read all of the newsletters that you have published and I am very impressed with the content so far. I like the mix of game mechanics and historical background information.  I think starting with the Italian campaign and its associated scenarios will be interesting considering there are not many war games that have been produced focusing on that WWII geopolitical region, other than focusing on particular battles, but not how they play out as a connected whole.  I did print and cut out the airplane cards that you produced. I like that they are simple to follow and contain just the information necessary to play the game.  The pictures/graphics are great also. ” -Jeffrey P.
“It looks like you actually do what I always wanted to do. I'm beginning to like it more and more. Finally a game that combines the classic boardgame with miniature wargaming. Just play the boardgame and fight decisive battles or skirmishes with miniatures. Great. Please continue.” -Frank R.
“The HFC supports wargaming and we like your project - it's a great idea and we are happy we can offer you at least some support by promoting it.” -Denny Koch
“The game looks fascinating and the card[s] look terrific.” -Clint Daniel
“I'm from Italy and I saw your beautiful map of my country! Great work!” -Fabrizio Perrone (Note: Credit goes to Mark Mahaffey for the Map Visuals)
“The more I see of Frontline General the more I like it. I can't wait for the Beta to be able to try it out.”  -Thom Osborn

You've definitely got my interest. The artwork on the map is superb.” -Dave Allen
