The combat system is similar to what is in our first game as far as Attack, Damage, Intensity, dice-based resolution, etc., however, the tactical map in San Pietro Infine is a much greater influence.

The functional map will be previewed in our Video Tutorials section of the main site soon, along with an e-mail announcement that the video is up- perhaps two vids.

Mark Mahaffey, the map artist, and I will discuss the map in detail, including the in-hex features that provide information for players right on the board. This should answer some of the questions you may have about the combat system as well. I can say that it's platoon-level and all tactical, and the way the system works- not just for combat- but movement, and all orders- is quite engaging and limits or eliminates downtime among players.

At least 12 historical scenarios are planned that cover the battle of San Pietro Infine in its entirity, something that (to my knowledge) has not yet been covered by a board wargame!

Thank you! Sorry for the late reply.

The map turned out great but a bit dark in the print. Mark Mahaffey was actually there at WBC (show after Historicon) and decided he'd lighten it up a bit to make some of the vegetation detail "pop".
